The Springfield Solar Farm features 21,384 solar panels that work in harmony to produce approximately 9,600 MWh, enough to power roughly 750 average homes in Missouri. The project came online in 2014 after 14 weeks of construction.
Over $250,000 was spent in Greene County for wages, lodging, and supplies. This spending resulted in an increase of the county property tax base of $12 million.
Each year, the solar farm will offset approximately 5,155 tons of CO2.
